About Keinton Mandeville
ABOUT
KEINTON MANDEVILLE
A small village 5 miles east of Somerton (the ancient capital of Wessex) in countryside between Yeovil and Glastonbury. Keinton Mandeville is recorded in the Domesday Book compiled for William the Conqueror.

Famous for the high quality limestone ‘Blue Lias’ which has been quarried in the village for centuries, and gives it its local distinctive character, as do the heritage assets the village enjoys.

Keinton is a welcoming village in a rural setting, proud of its community spirit, its diversity, and its ‘home-grown’ facilities, including a very successful and respected primary school.
